Teach English Online to Chinese Students

Location: Worldwide, from Home.
Salary: £12-£14 per hour
Working Hours: Part-time, Full-time. Choose your own schedule/work hours (Minimum of 10 hours per week).
Contract: 6 months. Flexible to end.

Job description:

Online teaching is a great way to improve your teaching skills or acquire new transferrable skills. With eager students of all ages and ready-made syllabus lesson plans, teaching online has never been this easy. As an online teacher, you will be managing your own teaching schedule and delivering 25-50 minute classes to students in China whilst also undergoing training sessions to improve your teaching skills.

Job Activities & Expectations:

  • Deliver 25-50 minute classes to students in China.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings in order to improve your teaching skills and improve your booking rate.
  • Create and modify your online teaching schedule. You must schedule a minimum of 10 hours a week.
  • Send weekly report to show the classes taught, your schedule changes and suggestions on how we can improve.
  • 1-2 hours of personal time to review our videos and other training material on your own.

Soft Skills & Other Requirements:

  • Have a genuine interest in teaching.
  • Willingness to learn how to teach online.
  • Responsible, hard-working, patient with an excellent record for time keeping.
  • Sufficientl stable internet speed for online teaching (20mb/s or above).
  • A good personal computer.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate or studying towards a Bachelor’s degree (no specific degree is required as training is provided).
  • Excellent English language skills.

Location: Worldwide, from Home.
Salary: £7-£9.50 per hour. Additional incentives constantly available for high preforming teachers. Such as higher pay and further training and certification.
Working Hours: Part-time, Full-time. Choose your own schedule/work hours (Minimum of 40 hours per month).
Contract: 6 months. Flexible to end.

Job Activities & Expectations:

  • Deliver 25 minute class to students. 80% of students are adults, whilst the other 20% are young learners.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings in order to improve your teaching skills and improve your booking rate.
  • Create and modify your monthly online teaching schedule. You must schedule a minimum of 40 hours a month.
  • Send us a weekly report to show the classes taught, your schedule changes and suggestions on how we can improve.

Location: Shunyi Dist, Beijing.
Working hours: Full-time.

About the School

A mid-size, growing K-12 bilingual international IB World School with about 600 students currently.

Title and Reporting Structure

The Head of School (HOS) is the leader of the senior leadership team and reports directly to the CEO.

Key Areas of Responsibility

School Leadership

  • Recommending and implementing policies, guidelines, rules, regulations, and procedures for the School as deemed necessary or beneficial to the School safety or daily operations
    Communicate systematically with CEO and the Board of Directors about progress and challenges.
  • Make recommendations to the CEO with respect to school improvement processes.
  • Set high standards for performance, supervise and evaluate to ensure that these areas and their leaders continue to operate and function efficiently and effectively and serve the needs of the school.
  • Work collaboratively with parents to ensure strong and open means of communication throughout the community.
  • Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school in all aspects of its operation.
  • Be available to participate in Board meetings, Head Office’s School Management Group meetings and committees when necessary or requested.
  • Set high standards for performance, supervise and evaluate to ensure that these areas and their leaders continue to operate and function efficiently and effectively and serve the needs of the school and the community.
  • Work collaboratively with parents to ensure strong and open means of communication throughout the community.

Vision, Strategic Planning, and School Improvement Processes

  • Oversee the formulation and implementation of the school’s strategic goals.
  • Work with the strategic planning committee to ensure the implementation process of the strategic plan is successful.
  • Actively monitor the strategic plan and give feedback to all stakeholders about the deadline met related to the plan.
  • Take an active role in building the sister-school relationships across the school in all divisions.

Education

  • Advanced Degree (PhD or Masters) in relevant field.
  • Current administrative certification highly desirable

Experience

  • At least 5 years leadership experience in a similarly sized school. International school experience and teaching experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in supervising academic and program development and facilitating implementation.
  • Experience in developing and achieving an organization’s strategic plan and development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in a multi-cultural environment, with overseas experience highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in leading change and school improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in staff supervision and evaluation, with demonstrable knowledge of supervisory and administrative theory and practice.
  • Strong commitment to, and proven record of, fostering community involvement and support.

English Teacher in China

Location: China (Beijing, Chengdu, China, Shanghai, Shenzhen).
Salary: £1,700-£2,700 per month.
Working Hours: Part/Full-time (20-30 hours per week).
Contract: Typically lasts one year.

Job description:

Teach English to children (three to 12 years old) while motivating them and cultivating their interest towards language learning.

Job Activities & Expectations:

  • You will undergo Professional teaching training.
  • Prepare teaching materials and presentations for classes.
